This quilt was one of my very first quilts. This was the second block of the month class I took at Country Stitches in Jackson MI. My first block of the month being one of the UFO's, Un Finished Objects, still in my sewing room (I did finish the original 12 blocks but they had optional additional blocks to make it a larger quilt that I still plan to add.) The first month of this project you paid $5 for the first block kit, and they even offered a class teaching you how to make the block and the technics needed to succeed at learning to quilt. Then each month as long as you brought back the completed block from the previous month you would received the next block free of charge. They also had the free class each month teaching how to make the new month's block. I did complete this quilt top during the year while the classes were being taught. But the completion of this quilt only occurred this month Jan 2015. I finally completed all the machine quilting and put the binding on it and hand stitched it down. Although it is one of my very first quilts that I started, I have completed many others in the past years that I hope to share with you as time goes on. Also on another note, this is the first quilt that I have kept, most of my quilts and projects I make for gifts as I love making quilts for my family and friends.

Finally started my blog, now what?
So today I finally came up with a name for my blog, This will be mainly a blog to share my quilting projects and ideas with others. Then we will see where it goes. I already see there will be a huge learning curve for setting this up and writing posts. I think I will end for today with this thought.
